HOW YOU GET PAID

Ticket revenue lands in your bank account — not ours. Here's the full setup, start to finish.

1

Apply for a business profile

Head to the Business Portal and submit your business info: name, contact, website, and a short description of what you put on.

Takes ~2 minutes. You'll need a Bar Crawl Cleveland account first (free).

2

Wait for approval

We review every business to keep the platform legit. Most applications are approved within 24 hours. We'll email you when you're cleared.

3

Connect Stripe & add your bank

Once approved, click Connect Stripe in your portal. You'll be sent to Stripe's secure onboarding to:

  • Verify your business (EIN or SSN, address, owner info)
  • Add the bank account where you want payouts deposited
  • Confirm your identity

We never see or store your bank details — Stripe handles all of that directly. Most people finish in 5–10 minutes.

4

Publish your crawl & start selling

Go to List Your Crawl, pick Use our ticketing, add your ticket types, prices, and quantities. We publish and the page goes live.

Where does the money go?

Every ticket sale is split automatically by Stripe the moment a guest checks out. Here's a $25 ticket as an example:

Guest pays$27.80
Stripe processing−$1.11
→ Your bank account$25.00
→ Bar Crawl Cleveland$1.69

Stripe sends your share to your bank on a rolling schedule (daily by default, adjustable in your Stripe dashboard). Our platform fee is deducted before payout — you don't owe us anything separately.

FAQs

Do I need a Stripe account already?

Not to start. A Stripe account is required to receive payouts, but our onboarding handles it either way:

  • No Stripe yet? Stripe's hosted onboarding creates a brand-new account for you (email, business info, bank, ID verification). ~5–10 minutes.
  • Already use Stripe? Sign in and Stripe links your existing account as an Express sub-account. Bank info carries over. ~30 seconds.

Either way, you manage everything from your normal Stripe dashboard. We never touch your bank details or keys.

When do I get paid?

Stripe deposits payouts to your bank account daily by default once the rolling holding period clears (typically 2 days for new accounts, then faster). You can adjust the schedule in your Stripe dashboard.

What about refunds and chargebacks?

Refunds are deducted from your next payout. Chargebacks are handled by Stripe and pulled from your account if upheld — same as any merchant.

Taxes?

Stripe issues your 1099-K directly for ticket sales (you are the seller of record). We separately report our service fees as our income — you don't pay tax on our cut.

What if I don't want to connect Stripe?

Pick Use your own ticketing when you list — flat $150 listing fee, link out to Eventbrite or wherever you sell.
